A “sadistic” babysitter sexually assaulted two toddlers and filmed the abuse on her phone. Molly Elisabeth Duncan has now been jailed for life without the possibility of parole as a judge asked her “what the hell happened in your life that you would think this was all right?”
The 26-year-old from Beachwood, had been employed as a nanny in Northeast Ohio for the victims’ families. The childminder had been working in Ohio for 10 years prior to the horrific attacks, according to court documents.
Duncan sexually abused one victim in Portage County and another in Geauga County, filming the revolting abuse on her mobile phone. Both victims were under the age of two.
She admitted her sick crimes
She then distributed the videos with other sexual predators interested in minors on social media. Forensic examinations of Duncan’s electronic devices uncovered explicit files relating to both victims.
Regarding the Portage County victim, Judge Laurie Pittman sentenced the babysitter to four consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole on July 24, effectively ensuring she remains imprisoned until her death.
She was convicted of four counts of first-degree rape as well as several other charges. He said: “I’m going to ask you one question: What in the hell happened in your life that you would think this was all right?”
In a victim impact statement, the child’s mother said: “There is evil in this world, your honor, and its name is Molly Duncan.
“This has not only impacted my daughter, but our entire family.”

“We live with heightened vigilance. Every day is now measured by how well she is coping.”
Duncan apologised in her statement and partially blamed her behaviour on her mental health and personal history of abuse.
“I’ve had thousands of opportunities to have committed these crimes, and this was never a thought that entered my mind until a particular person entered my life,” she said.
Days earlier, Judge Pamela A. Barker had sentenced her to 70 years behind bars on July 22 for the abuse of the Geauga County victim – along with 25 years of supervised release following prison.
Duncan admitted two counts of sexual exploitation of minors, the distribution of sexually explicit content depicting children and the possession of child pornography in April.
She was also ordered to pay $20,000 toward the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act, which imposes fines on convicted sex offenders to fund law enforcement.
Duncan was also required to pay $8,000 towards Amy, Vicky and Andy Child Pornography Assistance Act, which provides monetary assistance for victims of child abuse.
