She has been charged by police in the United States after allegedly recording her crimes against a child under the age of 13 in the bathroom of her home in New Jersey
A babysitter has been accused of sexually assaulting a child and filming the abuse to share on social media app Snapchat.
Victoria Anne Cranmer, from New Jersey in the US, allegedly recorded her crimes against a child under the age of 13 in the bathroom of her home. The 25-year-old could be heard laughing in the videos, according to police.
However, investigators claim the horrific footage was only discovered by her room-mate after the pair fell out, reports The Mirror US. Cranmer has now been charged with manufacturing of child sexual abuse material, sexual assault, possession of the material and endangering.
She had been given a phone by her roommate but after a falling out, Cranmer was kicked out the Little Egg Harbor home. On returning the phone to the roommate, the vile 14-second footage was allegedly discovered.
Other videos of Cranmer and the victim were allegedly found on the phone, court documents revealed. One of the videos had been shared on Snapchat, prosecutors say.
Cops seized the device after the alleged footage was found and later obtained a warrant to search it. According to witness statements, Cranmer was seen laughing in the video.
The suspect’s alleged role in the shocking case was uncovered after cops say they recognised a specific and unusual tattoo in the footage. The authorities say it was Cranmer’s tattoo on her leg depicting ‘boobs’, that gave the game away.
The alleged crimes took place on May 6.
The victim’s mom grew concerned after learning about the video. She revealed that Cranmer had babysat her child. Since the footage emerged, she has not left her child with Cranmer.
Cranmer remains in jail and so far no plea details have emerged.
